παμβότανον, ου, τό (πᾶς, βοτάνη) herbage that covers an entire area, all(-covering) herbage π. τοῦ ἀγροῦ herbage that covers all the field 1 Cl 56:14 (Job 5:25). The imagery is that of a field covered in every direction with herbage too thick to count piece by piece. So great in number will be Job’s offspring.
